Onfim was a 7 year old boy who lived in Novgorod, Russia in the 13th century. He practiced his lessons and doodled on birch bark scrolls which were later discarded or lost. The scrolls were preserved in the clay rich soil of Novgorod for hundreds of years before they were excavated by modern day archaeologists. Onfim’s drawings provide a charming glimpse into the past and remind us that kids have always been kids.
Printed and cut in my home studio on matte sticker paper. Features 7 kiss-cut stickers of Onfim's drawings of warriors, horses, and family and friends.
4 x 6 inches.
